“A wonderful dinner on the patio”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

We were walking by and decided to stop in for dinner. We sat on the patio and there were some heaters going that made it very pleasant. The piano player was just around the corner, which made for a really nice setting. Our server was very pleasant and helpful with the menu and wine list. We started with nicely done caprece salads. I had the black risotto special with live prawns and it was quite nice. The others had the salmon fettucine and the mahi mahi special. Both raved about the dishes. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice italian dinner.

“Great Find for Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

This restaurant was suggested to us by the Coronado visitor center. We thought the entire staff was professional and efficient without being stuffy. Since it was a sunny warm day we opted to sit on the patio. The catch of the day was Mahi Mahi with a side of pasta and grilled vegetables and was delicious. The chicken Marsala was another good choice with a light tasty sauce. It also came with a side of pasta and grilled veggies. Everything was nicely presented and for a lunch entree, it was a good sized portion - more than enough. The service was excellent without being intrusive. We shared Creme brûlée for dessert. Great upscale Italian restaurant near the Del.

“Good Food, Good Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

Vigilucci's could have done better with their name but is a good addition to the island's eateries (it replaced a Marie Calendar's). The atmosphere is nice and they have a piano player on most nights in the bar. The food is standard Italian and more than acceptable. They have a good happy hour.

The entrance is on the second floor, don't be afraid to just walk up the stairs and head for the bar for a drink or glass of wine. Good happy hour and they have some outside seating for lunch/dinner

“Good food, excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

My husband and I ate a great dinner on the terrace in Coronado, seated next to the fireplace. The service was excellent, without being intrusive. He had a very tender rib-eye steak and I had the veal piccata with a side of sauteed spinach. While tasty, my veal was not nearly as tender as his steak. Both meals were too big to finish. We shared a Caprese and a desert of Torfulo, a tiny chocolate truffle in a sundae dish with expresso and gelato. We enjoyed the music from the piano bar, consisting of ballads at just the right volume. The only thing I missed was a view - either of the beach or Orange Avenue.

“True Italian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

Our group of four ate dinner here last night, it just looked nice from the street so we made a reservation. We were so pleased with the food, the service, and atmosphere.
The guys ordered spaghetti and meatballs, and the ladies, chicken Marsala. Both were excellent. Meatballs were flavorful and the pasta was not at all overdone, more al dente.
Marsala sauce was very tasty.
It was a beautiful late summer night so we sat outside on the terrace and the atmosphere was so nice. Also had the Sangiovese wine which was very good. Service was very good, too.
We will finitely return on our next visit.
