The trip that my husband won as a top performer with Xerox Corp. was breath taking. It was by far my best experience traveling by plane, charter bus, old town trolley, from my home town in Brownsville, Texas to Del Coronado Island (Resort). It started with an awesome and well orchistraded travel arrangements through several large airports without getting the luggage lost. The trip just kept getting better and better as we approached our destination; at the airport escorts were at the luggage terminal awaiting our arrival. An awesome charter bus picked us up and took us to Del Coronado Resort. This trip as a top performer was all expenses paid from flight, to hotel, attractions, and meals. We had made previous arrangements with an itenirary for sight seeing to Segways by the bay, ole' town trolley ride (Jesse was great) across the San Diego bridge, and fairy ride back to Del Coronado Island. A once in a life time chance to ride aboard the America #1 sail boat, boarded the vessels at the bay from submarines, to large boats, and ole' fairy that is a museum now. Walk down town Del Coronado Island to explore the town it was awe inspiring. Found out after we returned home that my husband's great uncle Sylvester Pattie was the first American buried in Del Coronado Resort by ole town in the beautiful park. My husband; Victor Pattie Jr. and I were just feet away from his plaque and were not even aware of it until we returned home and were told by my mother-in-law that this is the story of how my husband has his middle name Pattie which I have kiddingly made a silly comment when I met him when he told me his name. I said, "Victor Pattie, like hamburger pattie? He laughed and said, "yeah like hamburger pattie! If I get another chance I would like to go there again and this time see the plaque and take my husband there Victor Pattie Black, Jr. to observe his great uncles plaque.
Thanks to Victor Pattie and his diligence at work for being a top performer with a great company like Xerox . Vic won a trip with an all expense paid to Del Coronado Resort and it was my best experience that I have shared with my husband and best friend of 24 years; even after going through the ordeal of cancer and surviving cancer now for 3 years.
Please share with joy in my experience as I have.
