Was visiting my best friend in Los Angeles and we decided to take the almost hour drive to Glen Ivy. Was a great thing to do on this hot 90+ degree day. Since it was her birthday I scheduled 80 minute Swedish massages for both of us for her birthday along with a visit to the Grotto. The massage was wonderful and so relaxing, but I called 3 days in advance to make the massage appointments and there were very few time slots left so you might want to call early. The Grotto is a great experience with an aloe, shea butter and something else slathered on your body. You then go into heated rocky area and "bake" for up to 10 minutes then into another rock room with showers to cool you down and clean you up. Next you can relax some more in the next room as you finish up with icy cold water and sweet, crisp apples. Don't miss the mud pool and make sure you put some in your hair. My hair has never been so soft and even after washing it for a few days after it was still soft. Lot's of mineral pools, hot tubs, floating pool. Just can't go wrong if you want to treat yourself. We ate at the restaurant and my salad was delicious!
