Faced by one of the most elaborate back bars we have ever seen, the two of us suspected that the place may be all show and no food. But we were wrong; the food more than matched the show! But the show is spectacular; the view over the lake, the variety of seating areas from the more formal inside dining to the less formal outdoor (but protected) patio, to a lounge area, and the exceptionally open kitchen, all impress. Two of us ate lunch and had a hard time selecting from a delectable array of dishes, some of which we saw being served to adjacent patio tables. We shared two dishes; an Ahi Poki and a large Greek Salad. The Ahi was some of the freshest and most succulent (and I consider myself an Ahi connoisseur) and the Greek Salad was prepared the Greek way – no lettuce (but the cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. were all of the firmest and freshest). Parking is easy, but I would suspect that at Happy Hour and later at night that may not be the case as the Grille is large and seats several hundred people. The theme is both novel and well executed and, given the opportunity, we will be back.
