“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

We booked 2 rooms and both rooms are very clean with Comfortable beds .
The location is good if you love shopping, right next to big Factory outlet. Plenty of free parking. The hotel is around 15 minutes drive from LAX. They gave you free yummy cookies when you check in, which is a bonus.

The service provided by the front desk was extremely poor. Room was not ready we had to wait three hours for the room. They would not accept my credit card even though I have used it at Hilton properties on numerous occasions, the staff member gave me the managers mobile phone number to call as it's there policy not to accept credit cards that have prepay on them, after providing another credit card. He the realised that he was wrong and they could accept my other credit card as it had my name on it. There was no acknowledgment of my diamond status and even though my profile states room away from the lift I was given one right next to it, the noise at night was bad. The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and the buffet selection at breakfast was great. Due to stay here again in a weeks time, let's hope the service and room is better. Handy to the outlet mall.

We booked 2 rooms a family of 5. The advantage of staying is here is easy access to universal studio and city. brand stores all close 2 min walk. No drinking water its all charged. Restaurant staff is good, the lady Ethiopian manager is nice and kind. she made arrangements for our breakfast JAIN food.

Friendly staff, clean accomodations, quiet and close to shopping. The breakfast offers a wide variety with eggs cooked to order. Ample free self parking is available. Located nearby is a large complex of outlet stores that includes a food court.

My work brought me back to the Commerce area ... I had previously had a poor experience in a nearby hotel and decided to stay at this Doubletree.
What a wonderful and smart choice!
It is wonderful ... clean ... well appointed ... the staff were super nice.
...and, although it is in an industrial area, the hotel entrance itself is accessed within a shopping complex --- so, it is extra safe! (There is plenty of parking....great lighting.)
This is a diamond in the rough ... busy I-5 is nearby, but you don't hear it.
The surrounding plaza of shops are nice, upscale shops ... lots of people around, but not "street people....or sidewalk beggars."
Ladies, if you are traveling alone for business and need to stay in this industrial area of greater L.A. ... this is definitely one of the safer places to stay.
The decor was lovely ... Ricky at the desk went above and beyond.
My room was very clean and seemed freshly painted.
Both bed and pillow was comfortable ... there were plenty of outlets.
There was plenty of hot water and water pressure was good.
...and, no perfume smell! (Yay ... I've mentioned before that hotels need to realize that one of the most import things to a traveler is no smell ... good or bad.)
There were two elevators and a nice exercise room. I did not eat at the restaurant, but it looked nice.
I give this hotel a 5 of 5 and plan to stay her again.

OK hotel....a bit dated. Parking is convenient and the staff is well trained and attentative. Don't like the old school room AC/Heat units. Very noisy all night. The restaurant is good but pricey....(Chicken and 2 beers $38).

Black mold and mildew all over the public ice machine, Mold on shower head, rooms are just horrible. Patch work everywhere horrible paint jobs, cob webs in every corner.

I would not do any business with this hotel and would be embarrassed if my wedding group stayed here!!!!!

I asked to speak to a manager about my stay and VIncent Taijeron came to speak with me but was nothing but rude. Did not allow me to speak, constantly cut me off, In the end he told me to stay at another property.
