This is a state park and therefore there is small entry fee per vehicle. The area is compact enough to easily walk around, even in the heat of the day but there is not huge amounts to do. There are some pretty buildings of which some are open to enter, the actual gold discovery sight is not very inspiring and nothing more than an information board. A pleasant stop whilst driving up Highway 49.
