“Odd spot / Decent stay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

This place is difficult to find. It's tucked away in the corner of a trading estate. That said, it has plenty around it - great places to eat etc. The Super 8 chain is usually cheap. This totaled out at $100.79 for the night, but it was a Friday. This Motel is super-clean. Nothing out of place. The pool ( picture ) is perfect. Its small, but clean, safe and very private. The jacuzzi was really hot. It all looked very new and neat. The room had great A/C. It was clean, comfy and very lovely. The breakfast was decent to boot. Highly recommended here - 10/10.

Room Tip: Room 105 is fairly near the pool.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a business trip. The hotel was about 30 minutes from our work. The price was worth the commute as this area is so expensive to stay. The hotel is in a nice quiet area. It is convenient to stores and restaurants. The bed was comfortable. We asked for a king bed but they would only give us 2 queens because our employer made the reservation through a third party. They said they could not change it. Other hotels have changed it. The breakfast is not very much. Overall, it was a good stay for the price.

as one of the other reviewers noted, this is not a vacation hotel. It is designed for those of us on the road -- or en route to same. However, the rooms was large and clean, with all of the amenities not always found (small refrigerator, microwave, etc.). And I loved the location -- walk across the parking lot to the CVS and supermarket).

I spent 11 days in Cloverdale on business and picked this lodging after internet review of other options. I'm glad I did. Located on the south side of town, it adjoins a shopping center with a supermarket, restaurant (Star-see separate review), cleaners, auto parts and several other businesses. The Ray's supermarket was especially handy for picking up something for a late meal. The motel is clean, breakfast full of carbs and fairly typical. The small pool area has a hot tub, handicap lifts for hot tub and pool, and broken chairs all around. AJ, the manager, said he had replaced chairs 3 times but they seem to break quickly.
As I was on business, good internet was important, and I was not disappointed. Room was convenient, quiet and decently furnished. A couple of cautions: There are 2nd floor rooms, but no elevator. There are "save the planet...don't change bed linen" plackards, but if you put one on the bed, you will return to find your bed unmade. A real bummer after a hard day's work. A request to housekeepers for what I wanted was granted.
AJ, the manager, is pretty helpful, his wife no so much. Just about everybody in Cloverdale is really friendly and helpful, and the old Clover Theatre has recently reopend under new management and much improved operation, so there's something to do besides tour the wineries.

Room Tip: Be sure your room is on teh first floor, unless you have minimum luggage and if you want one of two...

My GF and I stayed here for 1 night while visiting Sonoma.
The hotel is pretty good for a 2 star hotel and the relatively low price.
Bed was comfortable and room was clean.
Only issue we encountered is that the bathroom would not flush. Luckily we had a very short stay so that was not an issue for us.

Room Tip: Get a room not facing the mall
