The Vintage Towers Inn....what a terrific B&B! My wife and I were traveling with another couple and we ALL fell in love with this B&B. My wife and I stayed in the Judith's Towers Suite and our friends in the Vintage Towers Suite. Each room was very spacious and very very clean, each with their own charm and personality. Every morning coffee was prepared and available in a little room upstairs, with homemade brownies and assorted goodies. Breakfast was prepared fresh, hot and excellent. We were scheduled for an early morning spa one day and cancelled it because we did not want to miss the awesome breakfast! Many ingredients were grown at the inn. The innkeepers, Don & Mary were such a delight, very helpful and every recommendation was on the mark! Each night, Don would set up a fire for us and we would all relaxed by the fire drinking our wine of the day! Just an incredible experience!!! We left after three nights and headed to another B&B in Napa and were very disappointed. If we could have canceled our reservations in Napa, we would have been back on Don & Mary's door step!!! Can't wait to go back, we are already planning our next stay at the Vintage Towers Inn!

This was our 1st visit to the wine country and we sure made a wise decision by picking the Vintage Towers to stay at. We were greated by Don, one of the owners, who helped us with our luggage and showed us everything available at the Towers. He made us feel at home immediately. In addition, he is so knowledgeable about the entire area. He marked a map for us so we knew where we were going the next morning plus gave us coupons for free wine tasting. The recommendation for dinner in Cloverdale was absolutely wonderful!! One of the best meals we have ever had in our travels, the Piacere. The breakfast at Vintage Towers was also very good and both Don & Mary made us feel so welcome. Their gardens are beautiful. We are already planning another trip to the wine country within the next 2 yrs. and will definitely stay at the Vintage Towers again but for 2 nights this time.

My fiance and I spent 4 nights at the Vintage Towers Inn, and depite some initial doubts, it turned out to be great.

Our room are very confortable, with plenty of space, tastefully decorated and well air conditionned. There is a room down conveniently down the hall in which you find a variety of snacks and chilled drinks.

Don & Mary do a wonderful job with breakfast in the morning, putting together a true culinary extravaganza for their guests. I do have to admit to regretting I'm not a big morning eater, it held me back from enjoying the wonderful food!

They also do a great job at mingling in with the guests over breakfast and helping them break the ice in the morning hours. Since most people are not so inclined to engage in conversation with complete strangers first thing in the morning, this was very much appreciated.

The hosts know every winery in the area, and they do a good job at recommending the ones to visit. We told them what we were looking for, and they did a good job at helping us select wineries that corresponded to what we were looking for. Same goes for restaurants in nearby towns.

One little caveat: the italian restaurant in Cloverdale that is within walking distance by the school was a let down. The food was overcooked, and the wine they put on our table tasted like it had been in the oven for 2 hours. If you do go there, you might want to ask the waiter to chill your wine before serving.

This is a registered historic grand mansion in a quiet residential neighborhood in the town of Cloverdale. We felt very at home and welcome in the many common rooms. Downstairs parlor with comfy sitting for a good movie or upstairs library for reading. Also an upstairs "Sun room" to get early or late coffee, tea and cookies etc. Also a mini-frig and ice machine to use...

Breakfast is served at 9 o'clock sharp, group style at the large dining table with exquisite place settings and wonderful fresh gourmet food. Quite the elegant affair..Complete with homemade orange-cranberry scones! Hearty portions to take you way past lunch....We enjoyed chatting with others at breakfast.

There are many lovely outdoor sitting areas with which to relax. The 3 resident kitty cats love petting and lap sitting. So you won't miss yours so badly..Theres a Koi pond and many bubbling fountains too.The many flower gardens are sooo nice, complete with fruit trees and veggie garden....

All the bedrooms are upstairs. With only a one night stay ,we choose "The Mary Room" as it was the smallest and least expensive. It was decorated very nicely with rose pink and floral. It was a very small room with a teeny tiny bathroom with a good size tiled shower. I recommend checking another room here. Even for a one nighter.

It was only in the 80's when we were here, I wonder how one handles the Cloverdale heat with no pool? Seriously folks I'd stick to places with pools in the summertime. This is hot country.

The innkeepers are very nice too, thanks for a swell stay Mary and Don!

  • Liked — Felt comfotable and welcomed from the moment I set foot on the property.
  • Disliked — The Mary room was too tiny for me.

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights of a trip to the wine country at The Vintage Towers and had a wonderful experience. We had originally been booked at a different facility, making those reservations 6 months in advance, only to be told 2 weeks before we left that our reservations couldn't be honored due to a roofing problem.

I managed to find this excellent establishment online, and was very gratified to be told they could accomodate us for the entire 4 nights. We stayed in the Vintage Tower Suite, which was charming and cozy, with antiques, a sitting room with fireplace, large period style bathroom, several windows letting in lots of light, and plenty of storage, including a walk-in closet and rows of built-in drawers. We even had our own private deck to sit on, complete with telescope and a daily morning visit from Venus, a beautiful gray kitty with mint green eyes.

Each morning started with a sumptious breakfast, offered on a beautifully set table complete with antique dish sets that varied each day. Our hosts Don and Mary went out of their way to make sure our every need was addressed. Don even managed to find out the details of a small, little known winery we had been trying to find, locating it for us and calling the manager to be sure we could pay it a visit.

This home is lovely, full of turn-of-the-century detail, fluttering lace window curtains, wrap-around porch with comfortable wicker furniture to relax in, mature perennial gardens, gently splashing garden fountain, and a quiet and comforting sense of timelessness that's endlessly appealing.

It was difficult for us to finally have to leave, and as we continued our trip we commented many times how much we missed not only this grand and stately home, but also our warm and welcoming hosts Don and Mary, (as well as their 3 cats, Venus, Inky and Puddy). We most certainly look forward to staying with them on our next trip, which we're already planning!
