“Relaxing Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

This was our first stay at Auberge on the Vineyard. We stayed in on of the upstairs room in the Carriage House. Our room had a king bed (two twins placed together) and private bath with a claw foot tub. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. Roxanne, the Inn Keeper, did a fantastic job of making us feel welcomed. The breakfast IS OUTSTANDING and well worth waiting for!!! Its location makes Auberge a great place to explore the surrounding wine country.

My girlfriend and I spent two nights here in the Echezueax room of the Carriage house. Roxanne was very friendly and BREAKFASTS WERE AMAZING, with the chef right there to share recipes. The room was clean and quiet with great views (as you can see in their video and pictures).

Cloverdale is a very small quaint town, so if you are looking for nightlife you'll have to head down to Healdsburg, but if you are looking for a nice escape and good wine for a couple days this is a beautiful spot to do it.

This was my second stay at Auberge and it only cemented my love of the place and host. We arrived Christmas Eve and left December 26 so had the pleasure of being there for the holidays. The rooms are charming, comfortable, and always clean. The views of the vineyard out the windows are breathtaking. Of course the best part is the 3-course French breakfast served with the always entertaining jokes and stories of Roxanne, the indefatigable innkeeper. She is what keeps us laughing and makes the inn a real treasure. I hope to make my trip to Auberge an annual one, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone,

The view of the vineyards was beautiful. The breakfast each morning was delicious. We spoke with another couple at breakfast who had stayed there 6 nights without the breakfast menu being repeated. The owner was gracious and fun. We definitely would consider returning.

What a wonderul, warm stay during the deluge of rains! Staff was very hospitable and a lot of fun during the breakfasts. Felt like we were having a family dinner each morning. The Hermitage room upstairs in the house (with a large private bath) was comfortable, clean and with a nice window seat. The king bed was decent (no sore back!), nice to have a ceiling fan and a heater. The only drawback I would say is you are overlooking the road (but very little traffic) and not the vineyards, but everything was great, including the huge breakfasts. Nice to have treats out with tea, as well as the cold water dispenser, a small fridge with cold drinks.

My husband and I spent two nights in the Montrachet suite. It's a lovely room, spacious, with a free-standing bathtub from which you have a sweeping view of vines (just as shown in the picture on the website). As so many others have said, Roxanne is a hoot, she’s a natural hostess, smart as a whip, knowledgeable of the area, very helpful, but non-intrusive. The three-course breakfasts were delicious, and they happily work around any food allergies you have. Roxanne and crew, thank you for a lovely stay, we will be back!

Room Tip: We loved the Montrachet room, but other rooms are undoubtedly just as nice.

I stayed here for 4 wonderful nights. Comfy beds, spacious room (Vouvray), spectacular food, and the best people you would ever hope to meet all greet you at Auberge on the Vineyard. Roxanne, one of the owners, is absolutely hysterical! I was here alone on a vacation, but never felt the least bit isolated or out of place at this wonderful gem! They were very nice and extremely hospitable, offering suggestions on which wineries to visit in the area. I would come back here again and again. If the husband can't make the trip, I know several girlfriends who would love to make the trip with me from TX. Cloverdale is also reasonably priced and a short drive from many wonderful wineries. Just do it!

Room Tip: I stayed in the Carriage House and found it to be nicely decorated and peaceful.
