Of course, it is known as the House that Chicken Built .. and there are a couple of branches around southern California. But at the one in the City of Industry, at the Mall, the servers are so very nice - and eager to introduce you to the wonders of food from the Philippines. I had the fried chicken special (I remember it fondly from the Max location that closed in downtown Los Angeles many years ago due to real estate expansion) and it was just as good as I remembered. Joey had the noodle dish and he loved it. We spoke with a couple of tables around us - the "locals" suggested the beef stew as their favorites, and to also try the taro ice cream - it was purple! I so wanted to, but I was too full from the chicken! I guess we have to go back and try some more!!
