Decent hotel, but the front desk manager wasn't very helpful. Upon arrival, the TV was a snowstorm and he had to send the repairman up to fix the cable connection after he made some unsavory comments. Evening reception is OK if you like the 2 free drinks you get, but the food was only OK if you like cheese and crackers. The "goopy" cheesy meat dishes were distasteful to say the least. The hot breakfast was very nice. The room was basicly OK and the location was conveniently right off the freeway. Chico Mall was right across the street and it was a very busy congested commercial "strip" area. You couldn't hear sounds from other rooms except the room above and that was VERY noisy with just normal walking around--ASK FOR THE TOP FLOOR!! Also, please check the racing schedule for the local fairgrounds (right across the freeway from the hotel), if there is a race going on--get another hotel!! The noise is so bad that even with the windows and drapes closed you'd think you were right in the front row of the racetrack! And the races went on until about 11 PM! And hotel management wasn't very accommodating about changing rooms to the other side of the hotel. If I was to stay in Chico again, I doubt that I'd stay here.
