We just returned from a two day stay in Chico. Chose Oxford Suites because they are pet friendly and because we had enjoyed our stay with them in Redding. The place is immaculate, the staff friendly and helpful, and the location is fine for exploring by car. If you want to take a walking tour of Chico, youmight prefer staying right in town, but this location has the advantage of being right off the freeway and just beside a shopping mall, in case you forgot anything.It took perhaps ten minutes to get across town to the Chico campus (because of traffic lights) No problem parking and we just hiked around from therre. Had a great lunch at Pluto--don't miss it.
Oxford provides a nice breakfast selection and a happy hour snack selection in the evening;we ended up only buying lucnhes because the evening gathering provided plenty of food to take the edge off hunger. All in all, a most pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

A decent place to stay. The staff was very nice however. This is Chico not Las Vegas.

Wonderful hotel! Upon arrival we were given tickets for the Happy Hour buffet and tickets for their full breakfast in the AM. The staff was extremly helpful and friendly. The room was very plush. No complaints at all. Would look for this chain of hotels when ever traveling in the Northwest.

I stayed 9 nights on business with my wife. Room was very clean, hotel was quiet, staff very friendly and always available. Free Internet in the room (bring a cable). The breakfast is decent, and they have a nice evening reception with free drinks and appetizers. You have your choice of local dining establishments right across the street: In-N-Out Burger, IHOP, The Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Applebees, and Krispy Kreme. There is several local shopping areas and the (yawn) Chico Mall nearby with more dining options.

I have stayed elsewhere on other trips to Chico. This is by far the best location with the most local options. The price keeps the riff-raff out, which I gladly pay for.
