Good food, a bit pricey, but watch the math on the check. They like to round up to the nearest dollar. Didn't catch it until I got home. Thank you 5th St Steakhouse for spending my money for me.

This is the best restaurant to come to Chico. I would suggest their filet. The flavor is like none I have ever had. And I have had a few steaks in my day. They serve fresh sourdough bread to start with that is also out of this world. Not one of their appetizers will disappoint you. My suggestion is their onion rings or eggrolls. Their salads are unique and very satisfying. It can get loud in the restaurant but who cares, concentrate on the fabulous meal you are about to enjoy. For sides they have a huge baked potato, fries (to die for), you can get vegetables, and they have a little delight called potato cakes which is one of my personal favorites to mix things up. Please don't forget to check out their dessert menu. My favorite is the banana cheese cake with chocolate. It is wonderful. All and all do yourself a favor and visit this fine establishment. The owners of the 5th Street Steakhouse are no strangers to good food and entertainment. They also own 2 of the town's best bars (Riley's and La Salles), a wonderful Italian restaurant (Franky's), and a little mexican food number called Tommy Malibu's.

Chico is the only town north of Sacramento with at least a few decent restaurants ("Christian Michaels" and "Red Tavern" should also be mentioned). "5th Street Steakhouse" is a lively place that serves surprisingly tasty steaks and fish dishes. On a lucky day you will also find lamb. Portions are generous and the meat is top quality, very flavorful and cooked to your order. If you like wine with your meal, choose from their blackboard instead of the menu: Selection on the board is limited but inexpensive and never disappointing. Only drawback: On a busy night - and on weekends this place is always crowded if you dont come early - the noise level can be disturbingly high.
