This hotel has been freshly painted and decorated. The walls are paper thin, and we had some very noisy young neighbors that were slamming their door throughout the night until 3:00am.

Positives:
1)Great location to the town of Chico.
2)Close to shops.
3)The Waffle house restaurant is just around the corner for a great meal. 4)Walking distance to the University.
5)Friendly staff.
6) A fresh look. It was more up to date than the other hotels in the area
7) Two breakfast tables to sit at while eating.
8) A nice entrance with a couch and two chairs.
9) Easy to meet other parents who's children go to Chico University while dining or waiting in the lobby.

Negatives:
1)Below average breakfast. Needed more choices of foods. They did have 2 choices of cereal and bagels. Wrapped little muffins and wrapped up sweet rolls. Coffee and tea was provided as well.
2) Paper thin walls. Bad if neighbors are noisy.
3) Cheap mattresses that are double size, not queen size, too small for 2 people.
4) No internet access.

Nothing special, but nothing bad. Not much to choose from in Chico and you could do alot worse. Clean, comfortable and the rate was good. A decent place to spend the night.

Large, pleasantly decorated, immaculately clean rooms. Reasonably priced and centrally located. Our choice for the place to stay when we visit Chico every few months. Pleasant staff. We travel with a well behaved terrier who remains with us at all times and find the $20.00 pet charge a bit steep. (Would not grumble at $10.00) Oh well, thankful they will allow a dog. Otherwise, a perfect spot to rest.

We've stayed here two different times now and both times we had an excellent experience. The rooms we stayed in were quite large with couch and chairs for lounging around as well. The staff was very personable and housecleaning very helpful when we needed a clean blanket due to our baby spitting up all over the first. My 5 yr old loved the huge bathtub and my husband liked the small kitchenette (micro and fridge) which made eating in with the kids a snap. One minor bummer was the walls seem pretty thin...but that was just one night out of three we've stayed. I found out later they were nearly booked full.
But otherwise just an all around positive experience.
