We were so glad to see Cayucos after a long days drive from Santa Cruz and stopped at the first place we found coming off the highway. What a find! It was after dark and we were very tired, and the owners made us welcome. I couldn't have cared less what type of room we were going to get for the night as we were planning on going again the next morning, and when my husband told me the room rate for the night I expected a typical 3 star room, HOWEVER, when we opened the door we got the biggest surprise! The room was definately the best we stayed in on our six week tour around the west coast of America. It was a big, nicely decorated room with a gas log open fire, the bathroom was huge with a spa bath, there were robes, a fridge, chocolates, and the beds were to die for! A lovely touch were the desserts the owners put out after dinner (which my husband generously helped himself to), and the breakfast and papers the next morning. And how nice was it in the morning to open the curtain and have that lovely view of the beach, and a balcony to sit out on to have our coffee and breakfast. We were very sorry to leave that morning, and sorry we didn't find this place sooner in the day.

We didn't have a chance to explore Cayucos, but recommend if you are in this neck of the woods, do not go past staying at the Pierpoint Inn - you'll love it!!!

We stumbled across this hotel on our journey south on the coast road from San Francisco to Los Angeles, what a find! Rooms were luxury with very comfortable beds en-suite with spa bath, coffee making facilities and at a great price included a continental breakfast! Owners were very helpful. The location was great - overlooking the sea! The hotel and town was very old west in style which we liked. We would return here and would recommend it to anyone visiting this area good for visit to Hearst Castle.

Pierpointe Inn will definitely see my face again and here is why: The owners are accomodating, helpful, and treat you as a family guest. The rooms are beautiful, clean and huge. The ocean view rooms are absolutely the best place to stay in this 14 room unit. The breakfast, wine and cheese, and dessert hours were a nice plus. When Pierpointe runs their special...$99 a night it is a true steal. However, the whole experience is worth double that price so don't be afraid to pay full price. We had 5 rooms and 12 guests. What a perfect place for a family reunion. We enjoyed the 2nd story selcuded glass-in terrace and jacuzzi at lunch time (grabbed sandwiches at the deli across the street- they make their own bread and so huge are the sandwiches we had to split them).

The Pierpointe has only a little alley separating you from lovely walks on the beach or a stroll out the Pier. You are right downtown so there are stores and restaurants for your basic needs. The town's spirit makes you feel like you are back in the 50's. Calm, not much traffic, and cute older buildings....antique stores etc.

We had the most fabulous 80th birthday dinner just walking distance at Hoppes. We ate outside in a beautiful floral garden...the chef is fantastic, the service outstanding and the prices reasonable for the gourmet garden experience.

For all these reasons and more I will become a annual family guest at the Pierpointe Inn in Cayucos. I would highly recommend Pierpointe for family reunions.

“Central Coast gem”

We just returned from a three night stay at this gem on the Central Coast. Inn is right on the ocean. The rooms are spacious with electric/gas fireplaces and hydro-massage spas in the bath. Each room is individually and very tastefully decorated. Second floor rooms have better views than the first floor. There is an outdoor hot tub on the second floor directly adjacent to room 204 with beautiful sunset and ocean views. There is a continental breakfast, afternoon wine and cheese and evening cheesecake. Owners very friendly and accommodating. The town of Cayucos is delightful. Only criticism is that the food could have been fresher.
