“Funky food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

Everything with artichokes! Really delicious, a good variety of dishes. Try the sampler appetizer! Would go back for the fried artichoke appetizer, forget what it's called.

“Deep Fried artichoke hearts - as MUST DO!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

I only stop for the fried artichoke hearts. They are fantastic. It is worth getting off of the highway!

“Gotta Do It Once...but only once!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

The Giant Artichoke Restaurant is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The sampler artichoke appetizer platter did not do justice to my very favorite vegetable although the fried artichoke hearts were passable. The service was excellent. The waitress/cashier was friendly and attentive and the food was served quickly. I am glad I visited once, but never again.

“If you're a foodie, you'll be disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012

While a few dishes featured artichoke, we found the artichokes and all the other vegetables terribly overcooked, mashed potato seemed to be instant. Salad was generic and uninspiring despite all the agricultural glory nearby. I'd expect this quality food at a school cafeteria. I think seniors or small kids might like this place because the decor and very plain food is about half a century behind.

“Poor service with uncaring staff”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

Unless you are Hispanic don't expect to get good service. The owner and manager know of the racist issues with their staff and don't care. The food is passable but high priced for what you get. There are better restaurants just a block north.
