“Great Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2014

Not crowded at all. $10 for day pass. Bathrooms weren't spotless but were surprisingly well maintained compared to other beaches/parks/etc. Definitely stop again if passing by

“One of the best beaches!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2014

This was my 3rd visit here. I love this beach. It's clean, on the quiet side & you will feel very safe in this area. It's great for all ages. The water is always inviting & has gentle waves. Not for thrill seekers. You can walk out quite far & feel safe swimming. The town, Linden Ave, has little shops to browse & a restaurant for everyones taste or price. I am considering a month stay next visit. You don't need a car if you choose so, the train station is right there.

“Checking out the Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

We decide to check out he Carpinteria State Beach Campgrounds and Day Use Area. The Day Use area is really nice with lots of covered picnic tables and lots of parking. The campground is right along the beach, so your campsite can be anywhere from 5 feet to the sand or a couple of hundred feet. There are campsite with hookup and no hookup. The one drawn back is the that a lot of the sites are so close together that you may not be able to open a RV Slideout all the way or the awning along with hearing everything going on with your neighbors.

Just a block down from the Day Use/Campgrounds there is some public parking with access directly to the beach. There are picnic tables, volleyball sand courts and a Ping-Pong table along with an area to wash off the sand.

It is a great beach area and not as busy as I thought it would be, but we were there on a Monday, so guess the weekends are busy.

“Nice beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

Stopped here to stretch our legs- it was uncrowded and a nice beach to walk, with beautiful views. Parking wasn't a problem.
