This is a long and wide beach like what you may see in Orange County, CA but not the craziness of something like Laguna Beach and rated one of the safest in the country. Great little town right there to grab a quick meal. There is a campground there with all the facilities (didn't stay there). You can walk from the beach to the south in the winter time to see a Harbor Seal Rookery and if you are lucky you will see a birth. It's a great wildlife area. There are lots of birds in this area too if you are a nature person and into bird watching. We enjoyed just walking along the bluff and taking in the quiet nature walk.
