“Wonderful food, wine - great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Wonderful surprise! Amazing food, wine and service!. Our waiter literally took the time to walk us through the menu, highlighting key items, unique entrees, etc... Also, he spoiled us rotten on the wine. We ordered a glass each and before we knew it...we had a mini tasting going on. He asked if we were OK with it and...we were.

We lucked out on waiters. Ours was great and helped make the meal fun. We did, however, see 1 female waitress who clearly didn't want to be there that night and was less than friendly. Not an issue for us...we got a FANTASTIC waiter.

Worth going out of the way for the food at the Corkscrew Cafe!

“Slow and very poor disinterested service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

Pretty Bistro, food was pretty good once we got it. My issue was the VERY poor service. We were initially outside and abandoned. Water was served and then asked to be moved inside after 15 mins in the hope things might improve. No dialogue with waiting staff who appeared to think they were above their customers !
No further drinks offered, plates half cleared. WOULD not RECOMMEND, take note owners, you will lose custom.....

“Quaint and charming lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

We stopped in here for a late lunch after wine tasting in Carmel Village and we were seating out in their back patio right away. We split a salad and a pizza and they were incredibly flavorful. The staff were super friendly and we would love to come back here again next time we're in the area.

“Delightful dinner in the garden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

Lovely food, very fresh, and the garden setting was very serene and lit with fun lighting. Also great wine recommendations -- it's adjacent to the Georis Vineyard tasting room

“Slow Service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

We were so excited to eat at this charming restaurant in Carmel Village but were parked outside and forgotten. It took forever to get our food and we had to go hunting around inside to find someone to pay. The wines were average and it was a disappointing dinner.
