“Very nice restaurant with great outdoor seating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

Wickets is a very nice restaurant with an outstanding bar and great service. It looks like that the high quality food is coming from the same kitchen as Bernardus high end restaurant Marinus. We had wonderful oysters. The wine from their own winery is excellent.

“overcooked”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

we expected a bit better given that it was at the Bernardus Lodge, but the food was pretty average, esp. considering the price

“Comfortable and engaging”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

We stayed at the Bernardus Lodge in March and ate in Wickets 5 times, twice for dinner, 3 times for breakfast, and once drinks and starters. While the food is good, we thoroughly enjoyed the staff and other guests. The waitstaff was interesting and engaging. We met two lovely authors from Beverly Hills. The combination of these nice people and the good food was very pleasing and made our stay even better. Love the Bernardus Sauvignon Blanc.

“Perfect setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

A very impressive menu and even more impressive food! The courtyard setting next to the croquet lawn was perfect as was the food. A definite must on the menu includes the mushroom soup and the mushroom pasta.

“Comfy, Casual Dining in a Formal Resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

Wickets is your casual dining option when you've done "Marinus" and want to hit the sack at a reasonable hour after your exhausting Pacific Coast Highway peregrinations.

The preferable seating is in the very attractive large dining patio with cozy fireplace seating and view of the resort grounds, but chilly weather can drive you to the bistro indoors, to eat leisurely, chat idly, drink fulsomely and watch sports on the bar TV.

The menu is limited, but good, since it emanates from Chef Stamenov's seasonally-focused kitchen.

Overall, good food, good vibes, good value.
