“Cute breakfast spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013 via mobile

My friend and I had brunch here on a Saturday morning. Quiet little plaza. I had an egg white omlettes with a side of fruit and English muffin. Very delicious though the vegetables were cooked in quite a bit of oil or butter. Nevertheless quite delicious. My friend had the huevos rancheros and she enjoyed them.

“Excellent food with some new twists”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

We had dinner with the family after a long day of hiking / touring Big Sur. So glad we landed here. It's a casual french restaurant with a fun and friendly ambience. The menu is decently varied to accommodate many different tastes even including hamburgers.

The Goat Cheese Crepe appetizer was amazing. Not sure what was in the sauce but it was great and the goat cheese tasted very fresh and bright. Among the entrees we had were the Grilled Sea Bass which was delicate and very tasty. Even the vegetables were perfectly cooked - we like them on the crisp side - and the gnocchi was excellent. The Steak Frites was excellent as well. The meat was perfectly cooked with just enough pink, the meat was vey tender and the béarnaise sauce was the best we've ever had -- lighter than the typical béarnaise sauce. The Penne Pasta was yummy and even the pre-dinner rolls were nicely warmed up with butter served as an intricate flower.

We'd loved to go back here again.

“Very enjoyable”

Second visit here. Only one waiter so he was running like crazy, but he did the best he could. Food was very good. I will go back next time I am in Carmel.

“Nice outdoor seating with a variety of choices on the menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

Came on a Sunday right after the Big Sur Marathon. They have a nice brunch selection as well as Mexican dishes and salads. There's also a health eater menu. Service was a bit slow because they were short staffed and our order was delayed. Of course after the marathon we were super hungry so they brought out some fries and fruit to hold us thru.
Omelette was fluffy and filled with veggies. The hamburger we order was a little to rare. We would give it another shot.

“Great little Bistro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

It was a slow night and frankly, a little concerned to go in because it was not busy. Based on a recommendation we decided to try it anyway and that was a good move. Attentive service, great dinner, nice house wine (Parsonage Winery), good atmosphere. What more can you ask for?
