Look, like most in Carmel this place won't make you swoon. It is a little tatty, and could use some capital funds to upgrade the furnishings.

However, the staff is very accomodating. We had a "Problem", which was dealt with professionally and to our satisfaction. The location is very good for exploring the village. Delivered continental breakfast is a nice touch. And round the clock cookies is a treat.

Very cute room with fireplace and well appointed bathroom. Nice bedding also.

We stayed at the Inn for our Honeymoon 30yrs ago, and we keep coming back. Love the location, can walk to town and to the great resturants like the Carmel Bistro Giovanni , two blocks away. Visit in the winter or spring and get half off the room!

the folks at the front desk were very helpful. we stayed in the one bedroom suite with our 9 and 11 year old sleeping on the sofa bed in the main room. the inn was overall nice, bathroom and bedroom were nice and clean but the the furniture is kind of old. i got an extra sheet and kept the sofa covered so that we could sit on it (comfortably and not worry about the 'eww' factor). same thing with the dining room chairs, not very inviting. but the bed was comfy and the comforter didn't look old and ragged. overall a nice little inn convenient to restaurants and main street and very peaceful.
