“Perfect Location & Excellent Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012

We love going to Carmel & Monterey! We reserve the two room suite for our family. It has a king in the bedroom and a sofabed in the living room. It has been completely uddated and features double french doors into the bedroom. They have a AAA discount on their website available.

Other pluses: The staff gave us extra towels when requested. The beds were comfortable. Everything was super clean. Restrooms are modern, clean and roomy.

This hotel is so cozy, and you can walk to Ocean Ave. We love taking a stroll down to the Carmel Beach. In the evenings, we walk up to the bakery on Ocean for coffee and a pastry. This hotel doesn't have the largest parking lot but there is no cost to park on the street close by. Carmel is remarkably safe, has the cleanest air, and is soooo beautiful!

Older physical plant that looked newly remodeled. Nice big TV and an excellent bathroom & walk-in shower. Breakfast room was too small with people crawling over each other. Breakfast offerings had no protein, just lots of carbs. Will stay here again because of other strong points and get breakfast at the perfect and nearby little Swiss Cafe.

Two golfing buddies and I went to Carmel for the Super Bowl at Brophy's Sports Bar and the practice rounds for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a trip I have taken many times. We found an fabulous rate fro three nights at the Town House and had stayed there one of the trips a few years back. The rate of $72 plus tax was lower than we paid earlier.

The rooms are small but they have been improved with fresh decor and paint. There is a fridge and a decent sized TV. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is right in the Village and is close to Brophys as well as the wonderful art galleries and many restaurant within walking distance.

A great value for a visit to one of the unique seaside villages where very few can afford to live but many can explore.

This is our second visit to Carmel, and our second stay at the Best Western. It is a good location. Pretty much right in the center of town. It is not too busy in February, so we were able to upgrade to a suite, which was nice. It over looked the pool area. We did have to lug our bags down a short flight of steps, which we managed, but someone else may have difficulty with that. Rooms were clean and comfortable. One important thing, is the office is not open 24 hours, so you need specific instructions for checking in if it's after nine at night, or before 8 in the morning. We had no issues with noise at night, but again, we were there during off season, so not sure what it would be like if the hotel was full. Most of the hotels in town are older, and are typically the "motel" style. There are some bread and breakfast establishments, but if you're looking for more update accomodations, you need to look outside of town.

Room Tip: Might want to make sure you can access your room by elevator.

Carmel is an expensive place to stay, but this was a great place to safe some money. Our room was clean and centrally located in Carmel, and they must have done some recent updating because the decor looked pretty nice. Don't get me wrong, it was still a budget hotel, but really good for that category.

There was a nice continental breakfast, though don't expect to eat in the lobby. They lobby is extremely small. There were only a couple of tables, so we had to take our stuff back to our room. The other minor negative was that parking was a little tight when everyone was in there. I had to do some serious manuevering to manage to get out of our spot when we left early in the morning, but did finally manage. Staff all seemed quite nice, especially the guy who checked us in. All in all, these place was a good value for the area, as long as you're just looking for a base to explore.

This is an excellent motel. The room was really really good. It was even better than lots of hotels. All was brand new, the furniture, the TV, the carpet...
The breakfast was very good as well. And the family who runs it very helpful.
