We stayed in Room 9 on the 1st floor (or 2nd as americans call it!).
The room was clean, good size double bed, with en suite bathroom. At night you can hear the waves from the nearby seafront.
Wifi is available and works well. Breakfast is plentful including various teas, coffee, granola, fresh fruit, cakes/muffins etc... The staff are all friendly and welcoming. In the aftrenoon they lay on biscuits and tea and then from about 17.00 there is a good selection of cheese and wine available.

It's a 10/15 min walk into Carmel centre but it's a lovely walk going past all the amazing houses in the neighbourhood. Makesure you take a torch if heading out for the evening as there are no street lights and it does get very dark, all part of the charm of Carmel.

Carmel is a beautiful place to stay to enjoy the seaside and the town and you won't go far wrong if you stay at The Sea View Inn!!

Clean, spacious, large bathroom. We spend one night here. Just a few blocks from the beach, gorgeous sunset. A bit of a hike to the town when walking, and it gets very very dark at night.
When we arrived at check in, we rcvd a glad of wine, and a cheese platter, Brenda is a doll.
Make sure you wake up in time for the awesome breaskfast, my boyfriend ate just about everything there was. Fresh fruit, bagels, toast, eggs how you like, tea, coffee, fresh juice.
Can't wait to stay again!

This is a friendly and well appointed B&B in Carmel. While not loacted on the water, it is only 2 blocks away from the beach/shore and a short walk away from the main streets of Carmel. Nice and quiet - can hear the waves from your room (our room was at the front of the house - in the direction on the beach). The room was sufficient size (we had #9) and nicely decorated. The only quirk was the plastic shower curtains encasing the old-fashioned tub - a little like showering in a plastic bubble. Breakfast was fine - continental style. But the service was by far the best thing about this place. Mary greeted us with a smile and so much good information of sites, scenic views, directions and restaurants. Thanks for a great stay!

You arrive to some of the nicest Inn keepers and sweetest ladies to welcome you. I was staying in Carmel for a very special occasion (proposal) and a perfect B&B was what we were hoping for and what we got! I made our reservations a hair late so I was limited on my options. The only room they had was #2 on the first night which was a shared room on the top floor overlooking the garden area in the back yard. The second night we would have to move across the hall to #5 where we would have a private bath and be on the front of the house.

#2 - This room was small but perfect! There is a private vanity/sink area in the room so you dont have to use the shared bathroom to clean up and brush your teeth. We cracked the windows and the fresh air kept the room at a perfect temperature. The shared bathroom is right outside the bedroom and includes a very nice shower. After the first night, they asked that we pack up our stuff and leave in the room and they would move everything for us. It was a very simple transition while we were out and about for the day!

#5 - Little bigger than #2 and included a beautiful decorated private bath. It faces the ocean but the b&b is several blocks from the ocean and all the trees cover up the views. Although you cant see the ocean, you can definitely hear it and it was very peaceful when going to sleep. When we came back from dinner and drinks the second night, they offered and arranged to have a complimentary bottle of champagne which was such a nice treat.

Breakfast in the morning was excellent. Fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and the service was superb.

Highly recommended and great value for the price!
