“Nice hiking area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2011

You must get a permit online for this park, but a visit is worth it. So is a hike to the top - an ascent of 650 or 800 feet depending on what you read. It is a fairly constant climb, but the paths are wide, packed dirt. If you have bad knees, bring hiking poles. The view from the top is spectacular. The shorter hike to the pond is easier. If you geocache, there are a number hidden in the park that make the hike up & down more interesting. Bring water, sunscreen and wear a hat. There are no facilities here.
