Description: A relaxing and comforting venue modeled after a European chateau where tables are thoughtfully spaced and fresh flowers, fireplace, candles and soothing musical notes are integral part of the dining experience. The ambience sets the tone for French country food served with a great deal of care for detail, and pastries baked daily on premises.

“Good Beef Bourguignon & Duck”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

We tried this restaurant after not being able to get into the Flying Fish Grill. It wasn't crowded at all. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the food was delicious. I would definitely dine here again.

“A favorite in Carmel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

Carmel can be oh-so-over-the-top with faux-posh, etc. Patisserie Boissiere is none of that. It's a bit off the main "ta-ta" area, but is friendly, cozy, and truly lovely! I've never been disappointed!! And it's not over-priced, which is something one can't say about every restaurant in Carmel.

“Great service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

The people were the best: the maitre d'hôtel was so warm and welcoming and the service quick and correct. Setting romantic. Portions generous, but the food could have been a bit spicier. We had the salad and onion soup, quiche and coquilles st. Jacques. The accompanying rice and vegetables were a bit bland. The chef has room to improve.

“Great Lunch in Carmel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

My wife and I were looking for a restaurant in Carmel to have lunch. We happened upon Patisserie Boissiere and asked some diners leaving the restaurant for their recommendation. They said it was very good so we decided to dine there. We found the food to be excellent, perfectly prepared and served hot. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the prices reasonable for the area. The deserts looked delicious but we were able to pass them by. We highly recommend the restaurant.

“French country ambience, food & charm.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

Nicely situated at the Mission Street side of Carmel Plaza, this charming little restaurant was a great find for our first evening in Carmel. The gorgeous array of baked goods in the glass case as you walk in was a portent of good things to come. This is delicious French country fare, with an emphasis on great ingredients simply presented with friendly service. Being in artichoke country, my appetizer was an incredibly fresh tasting & large specimen. Served with a subtle vinaigrette & a side of fabulous basil aioli, it was wonderful. My 'crispy' roasted half duck was as advertised, and delicious. A side of creamy potatoes with a julienne of zucchini & carrot was a pleasant accompaniment. My mom's choice of a Chicken Pot Pie (served in a cocotte with a topping of creamy dill-infused mashed potatoes) was another good choice with it's subtle sauce, tender chicken chunks & vegetables. The wines available by the glass were a nice selection, with myself enjoying a sparkling white with my appetizer & a Cote-du-Rhone with the duck, and my mother an Italian Pinot Grigio with her chicken. Although too full for dessert, our very nice waiter presented us with a complimentary box of pastries (a sugar-dusted almond croissant & individual pear tarte) which we enjoyed for afternoon tea the next day. I finished up with a very generous & well-pulled double espresso. It was a great meal & very good value & we'll definitely be back before we leave
Carmel on this vacation.
