“Always good.... sometimes a wait”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Love this place and the blintzes are fantastic. The back room is sometimes claustrophobic, but the murals are cute. Always a bit of a wait, unless you go early.

“Lovely Little Spot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

Delicious breakfast and friendly service! Well, the service was a little slow at the start but friendliness more than made up for it. Fresh grapefruit juice- love! the coffee was great too. My ommlett was fresh and not greasy, and hashbrowns were very good and I loved the pancakes! They were thin and chewy like crepes. I also liked that I could get a short stack, and that they had blueberries to put in! I get so tired of breakfast places that only serve exactly what's on the menu!

we're glad we came early because it filled up by 8am on a Sunday. Wonderful little place! I thought I read somewhere that they were dog friendly but I didn't see any outdoor seating...but I didn't ask, either.

“I'd give it 5 stars if the waitress have been more pleasant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

The food at this little restaurant was terrific. We were a party of four and all of us had something different for brunch but we all loved what we had. The only downside was the disinterested and downright condescending waitress. What an attitude! We were there at an "off" time, which meant there wasn't a line out the door (which there was when we were leaving), and maybe she was annoyed she couldn't take a break but gee ... without her, five stars for sure.

“Expect a Line…but It’s Worth Waiting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

This local gem is decorated like it’s name and offers very reasonably priced food. It’s a small place, so you may have to wait…outside. But it’s worth the wait since the coffee is excellent and the portion sizes are generous. We went there for breakfast and enjoyed normal breakfast fare: pancakes, omelets, hash, coffee and oj. Just be aware: They ONLY ACCEPT CASH.

“Worth the trip for the mural”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

If you're looking for a quaint breakfast spot in Carmel, this is it. The mural that adorns the walls of the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The food and service are average. It's rather small, so if you get some loud and obnoxious fellow patrons in a nearby booth like we did, it will probably dampen your enjoyment quite a bit.

We tried the blintzes here; not spectacular, but not awful. The food is reasonably priced and comes out pretty quickly. We prefer Katy's Place for the food but will always take our friends and relatives here once to enjoy the mural.
