“Nice street side restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013 via mobile

Started with not being met by host, then not being met by server, but once that got fixed, server was attentive and helpful, givibng extra cheese, tea, and bread...their bread with spiced Olive oil was good. I had the lobster pemnne which had a nice amount of lobster, nice to be able to sit outside. They have a fire pit in case it is chilly

“Great Front of House”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

A very friendly greeting and service were highlights of our visit. The special, grilled sea bass with white beans was excellent. Outside seating around a pit fire added to the ambience. Only downside was they offered us 15% off the bill of their partner restaurants, where we had eaten the night before but the partner had not done the same!

“Good lunch experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

Hostess was a little bored with her job but waiters made up for her. Great place if you know what to get. Super fresh kumoto oysters, fried calamari and clam chowder but order it 50/50. Half manhattan red and half traditional white cream. Perfect blend of spicy creamy. Perfect for lunch stop.

“A Good Choice in a Town with Many Choices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

We really like the patio area for breakfast. It is spacious and enclosed on three sides. It has a nice fire pit in the middle and there are also gas heaters for those chilly summer mornings when the clouds have not burned off (summer on the coast is like that).
Lots of choices for breakfast or lunch. I liked the huevos rancheros, but you have to tell the staff how you want you eggs or they could arrive on the raw side. The portions are generous and you might consider sharing an order. Generally, this place is a good value compared to other breakfast choices in Carmel.
The service was a bit slow, but they will let your dog join you and bring him or her a bowl of water.
