Yes these rooms are very reasonable during the week but unfortunately I felt that the inn proprietors were doing everything on the cheap from breakfast to the wine, from cleaning to basic maintenance. The towels are worse than Motel 6, our room was not clean in the corners and our bed linens were not changed. The wine they tell you its French however, I saw empty Charles Shaw wine bottles in the kitchen. Two Buck Chuck is fine.....just tell us it's Trader Joe's and don't be dishonest by trying to pass it off as French. (They save French wine bottles and pour the Trader Joe's into them) Our room did not have a smoke detector as it was found on top of the dresser. Half the electrical outlets did not work, I had to try my hair in the corner. The room are so noisy you can hear your neighbor in the next room and every step of the person upstairs. The breakfast is literally the cheapest bread you can find, not even stuff from Costco, worse than that. Watered down O.J., one bowl of butter, one bowl of jelly, waffles, oatmeal to make yourself and slices of banana that they monitored. They obviously don't believe in adding a bit of color to your plate. They advertise fresh baked goodies but for 5 days we saw nothing of the sort. We have stayed in several other affordable, dog friendly inns in Carmel that have been reasonably priced and we have been very pleased. This one was a huge disappointment.
