We are open every day - all day. Our guests may enjoy whale spouting, sea otters and pelicans. After sunset, our powerful floodlights illuminate the rocks and shore.

“The view makes up for....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

.....any minor hiccups in service and food. Would definitely go back. Sat outside since our friends had their dog. Wonderful view of the crashing waves and overall beauty. This place has been around since 1947 but according to the waitress it got a new owner and refurbishment in January. She said they are slowly expanding the menu to include some of the old favorites customers were accustomed to. I loved the fresh warm bread, crab meat appetizer and clam chowder. A friend ordered a hamburger but said it was dry, lacking any type of sauce/mayo. Bring your camera and wallet.

“Best scenic view in the world”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Stopped here driving up 1 on the coast.
We have traveled over much of the world and the view from this restaurant is one of the best if it is clear day. If it isn't don't spend your time because the food is not great especially at the price point.
I am very willing to pay for just passable food at a high price just for the view.
I had mussels which were small and bland.
My wife had scallops that actually were not too bad with exception of the price.
Service was very friendly and personal.
If they just had better food this would definitely be world class!!!

“Eating with the dolphins n sea otters”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

This is at the beginning of Big Sur. it is fine dining but most people came for a quick snack n went about their trip. The food is exceptional loved every bite plus I wanted to lick the plate lol. It is all expensive but worth it. We were there for 2.5 hrs. Definitely a stop that needs to be planned in your trip. As we ate as herd of dolphins swam by and a sea otter played in the water. The views are goergous. The outdoor patio is beautiful. Definitely a place I want to go again.

“Forever Views and Great Food....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

Stopped here on whim with my mom on little girls getaway, so glad we did this was such a treat. The views alone are worth it but the food was great too. My mom had a burger which wasn't your average burger, it was amazing and I had the adult grilled cheese which was great too! The staff was nice and the service was fast, although I could have sat here all day....

“Fantastic views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

You can't see the restaurant from the road just a sign and a drive way to it. It's about 10 miles south of THE 17 MILE DRIVE. It sit on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean and coast line. Beautiful. The food was great had a simple lunch and split the calamari and a very nice applewood beacon BLT. We sipped on a couple of very nice wines. Very romantic. Well worth the drive.
