This was out best dining experience this trip in Carmel. We will be sure to come back. The food was simply outstanding. I usually avoid gnocchi, but the spinach gnocchi literally melted in my mouth & was heavenly. We also ordered french fries but simply could not eat that. We had grilled artichoke, but not with the aioli which had egg, but marinated with garlic & butter, & this was simply the best artichoke dish we had. The garlic added a nice flavor. Also, the ambiance is very nice. The seats are scattered around the restaurant in small quarters under a roof or outdoors on their open patio with heat lamps, giving every table privacy - usually only a few tables around your own. Decorations & style seem to reflect a small European village or town. The service was also nice. Out waitress Rachel was not too familiar with ingredients to satisfy our wish to eat eggless vegetarian, so she got someone from management who helped us out.
