The most wonderful, romantic and charming place to stay in all of Carmel. Charming, cozy, comfortable, clean...didn't want to ever leave. The crash of the surf lulled me to sleep each night; the gas fireplace (remote controlled for ease) kept me warm during the chill of night. Cottage owner Cheryl Assemi spared no expense in renovating and redecorating the five cottages (each with their own charm) last year with Renovation Hardware furniture pieces to hand-sewn bed quilts. A bottle of sparkling cider welcomes each new guest at check-in and the varied selection of Tazo teas (thank you from a non-coffee drinker!) and local coffees in the kitchen is the perfect way to start your day in Carmel.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- The Carmel Cottage Inn consists of five quaint, historic cottages set in a beautiful garden one block from Carmel Beach and just a few blocks from downtown Carmel. All five cottages, Sky Way, Moon Gate, Home Port, Tradewinds and Log Haven, have been lovingly restored, respectful of the request several long time guests have asked of us, "Please don't change them too much." Although we have changed just about everything except most of the wood and leather furniture, we hope we have made them feel like they should have always looked this way...A bit like walking back in time. We think you'll find the Carmel Cottage Inn Is the perfect place to relax after a day enjoying the beauty and activities of the Central Coast. We would be delighted to have you stay with us. ... more less
