“Comfortable quality”

The staff and location are the best. Rooms are very large and set up with a high end feel. Close to Monterey and Carmel make a great location. On site golf course is beautiful and a challenge for all golf er's. also are pet friendly. There is a putting course around all rooms .

Quail Lodge re-opened recently -- I guess under new management. And they have done a great job. We don't travel anywhere without our Golden Retriever (a therapy-dog in training), and they made all of us feel more than welcome. Our Retriever even received his own goody-bag -- with a blanket, toy, and all the trappings. A really, really nice touch.

Our room was superb -- upgraded, renovated, the whole nine yards. We received a rather cold reception when we checked in -- not rude, just not friendly and warm. But after that, everyone couldn't have been nicer. Our housekeeper was great, as was the young man from Fiji handing out towels at the pool.

We can't afford their rack rates...but we were able to get a Stay-And-Play package that was truly a great value. And the golf course was in perfect shape.

A nice breakfast buffet, free parking, free internet -- really really nice touches.

We loved our stay at Quail, and if we can find a great package in the future, there's no doubt we will be back. They are first-rate all the way.

Room Tip: Ask for a room without a second floor overhead -- should be much quieter.

The Quail Lodge is much nicer than equivalently priced properties in the surrounding area, being 10 minutes from Monterey or Carmel town.

Great, large rooms, nice beds, super clean. Huge ceilings, huge bathroom.

Not much for restaurant facilities, but Monterey or Carmel are nearby

We enjoyed a golf package, beautifully maintained course. The room was clean and lovely. Loved the outdoor seating next to the pool. We just heard the people above us walking around, so book a room on the 2nd floor if possible. Continental breakfast was good; cereals, yogurt, oatmeal, fresh fruit, packaged muffins, bread, bagels.

we had stayed at the quail lodge in the past and were disappointed when it closed, and then while searching where to stay in Carmel, i found that it had reopened, and much to my pleasant surprise, at a special opening rate of $135 per night for a beautiful , clean and spacious room.
I know the rates will go up, but it is worth the visit to get out of the congestion of downtown Carmel, and they take pets too.

Booked this hotel for a trip to Carmel. I was very impressed with the Hotel generally and the comfort a space in the rooms. The hotel grounds are very well maintained and the staff welcoming. The hotel is a few miles out of Carmel but offer more spacious accomodation than you might find in town. Also the imeadiate surroundings of the hotel were very pleasant with a good Bar/ Restaurant 50yards away and a few interesting shops. would absolutely reccomend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking over the lake.

Just returned from a two night stay at the Quail Lodge. From the moment I pulled up, the fantastic staff made me feel like part of a family, and completely at ease -- a welcome way to start a vacation. I stayed in an incredible suite that felt modern (a bathroom/shower/patio that cannot be put into words), but also homely and rustic (a fireplace/den like sitting area, hard wood floors, and the most comfortable bed I've possibly ever slept in). Management has done an unbelievable job transforming the lodge into a top notch resort that never feels pretentious, but instead warm and inviting. Perfectly placed windows allow for natural light, flickering candles adorn a tremendous chandelier hanging in the lobby, and a large patio sits atop a duck filled lagoon. There is a fitness center with three rooms designated for cardio, weight and stretching, a large pool surrounded by comfy chairs that receive sunlight all throughout the day, and 9 holes of putting greens bordered by an 18-hole world class golf course.

The continental breakfast is enough to fill you up for the day, and once again the staff does an incredible job of keeping everything stocked and clean. The same goes for the housekeeping staff that left our room tidy and full of goodies. I was told the Lodge was at full capacity, but never once did the grounds feel crowded.

As you can see, I can't say enough good things about the Quail Lodge. I had a fantastic trip and cannot wait to return.

Room Tip: The suites feel like your own personal cottage.
