“what a view!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

Between Monterey & Big Sur this is the perfect stop for lunch on the large patio which seems to hang in space over the Pacific below. Menu is varied & reasonably priced for the area. The view south to Big Sur lighthouse makes the food taste even better.

“Incredible views and good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

Went to restaurant for dinner. Sat at table near window to watch sunset. Gorgeous view. Catch of the day was excellent as was strawberry rhubarb cobbler. Service was good. Will definitely be back again.

“The view make this place special, the food is almost there.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

We drove a while looking for a place with an ocean view. A helpful gas station-wine shop in Carmel pointed us to this place. The view was exactly what we were looking for, especially on the nice day from the outdoor seating area. The menu was a little restricted, would have liked to have seen more fish options. Our swordfish was nicely presented and was "fine" but maybe not quite up to the level of the great location. Service was friendly, just a touch slow and a tiny bit confused but they got the job done. Look forward to trying it again sometime.

“Best place to fill ones senses, soul, and tummy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013 via mobile

Late lunch at Rocky Point restaurants is such a senses-filled and pleasant experience. The Ocean Salad and Strawberry And Rhubarb Cobbler was heavenly. Together with the edge-of-the-world scenery, it was a meal to be remembered. California central coast is a magical place. Its refreshing climate, rugged coastline, succulent seafood and vigorous red wine attract multitudes of visitors. I am glad I select here as my home. MaryJo and I also met the new owner Dr. Peter Wang and discussed his vision and philosophy, the laborious renovation last year, the refreshed menu and the dedication of the staff. A solid 5 star, highly recommended.

“The largest baked spud”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

One of the best sunset restaurants and bar in all the coast of Ca.
Every dinner I have had, and that over 20 years, has been GREAT!
Order a steak and baked potato and see the largest spud around.
Great spot just for a drink anytime but get there for the sunset and fall in love.
not a kids place if you wish to make other dinners happy.
