“Superb Sandwiches”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

We ordered two panini (piemonte and alto adige) for a picnic lunch at Point Lobos. Had to wait a while as the service was a bit slow and they seem to prepare the sandwich ingredients fresh for each order. But definitely worth the wait as the panini were exquisite - among the tastiest we have ever eaten. Our advice: if you have any other business or shopping to do in town, place your order first then come in 15 minutes to pick up your sandwiches.

“Not what we expected from the likes of Cantinetta Luca folks...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

This was supposed to be a salumeria and italian deli of the calibre of the salamis, pastas, and prosuittos at Cantinetta Luca restaurant next door, but it falls far short. The small goods and cheeses in the case were dried out looking and of limited and pedestrian variety - a better selection is available at Whole Foods! Now there is a code problem in CA around retail selling home made sausages and such and we get that (go get your license guys?). The fresh pasta we bought was dried out (several days old?), gelatos were the bottom of the tray and barely enough to serve, but the bolognese was great. Most of the items are available at any decent grocery. We won't waste any more time here until they sort out who they want to be...

“Good Italian Deli”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

We tried a couple of the Grilled Panini sandwiches for lunch on the go (no in deli seating). The foccacia was fresh and the panini very flavorful. There was a wait to get our order while prior orders were being filled. Cold sandwiches were also available as well as various cheeses, salame, wines, gelato, breads, sweets, fresh egg pasta, and Italian imported food goods.
