We don't travel very often, so when we go some place it has to be exceptional and the Coachman's Inn is just that. The staff are very warm, friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The location is perfect; you can walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. The continental breakfast was delivered to our room so we could sleep in and enjoy the fireplace. We will definitely make this an annual Anniversary vacation place. Thank you staff at Coachman's Inn.

My spouse and I have been going to this inn for years, and always enjoy the visit. There is a large variety of Carmel shops, art galleries, stores, and restaurants nearby so exploring by foot is easy and fun. Traffic and parking in Carmel is difficult, but you can walk to almost everything from this Inn which is only a block or so from Ocean Avenue, the main street of Carmel. The rooms are always very clean and well cared for, with coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. A light breakfast, ordered the night before, is delivered to your room at your convenience. I would recommend rooms 210 and 211 with king size beds. Room 212 is also nice, but quite a bit smaller with (I think) only a double bed.

The Coachman's Inn is a wonderful location for a couple seeking that quiet getaway in Carmel. Walking distance to almost everything, except maybe the main beach and the mission, this newly refurbished small hotel is in 5 star condition. Our fireplace inn was very much enjoyed as we spent two wonderful nights here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Like most of Carmel, this is a dog friendly establishment but please advise them before you show up with your pooch. Even though I didn't do this, they still accomodated us with their last room available as long as we paid a small cleaning deposit. These rooms and the whole property are spotless. Your morning breakfast is brought to your door at the time you request, (in writing for each morning), and the pastries and juice was the best quality. No qualms about this place for me. You should consider all the above and then realize that your less than a block from the Sunset Community Center where big name entertainers love to come to play and only one block off Ocean Avenue, the "main street" of Carmel.

very clean, cozy, nicely decorated and new carpet. The light breakfast provided each morning was good and delivered at times convenient for us. The location of the Coachman's Inn was within walking distance to the shops, to the beach and for our evening meals at nearby restaurants. My husband enjoyed the homemade cookies provided each afternoon. The provided parking was also a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning soon.
