“A little bit of France in California”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

I had been wanting to eat on many excursions to Carmel and finally made it happen. So glad I did. Exactly what I was expecting and was completely satisfied.

Service-Very good. Prompt. Knowledgeable. Helpful.

Food-Very good to excellent. The table had a variety of dishes. Smoked Salmon. Frog Legs. Filet mignon. Croque Monsieur. Frites. Gluten-Free Pizza. All the dishes were well prepared, presented and tasty. I would recommend them all. Two standouts were: 1. The frites that came with the Croquet Monsieur. Very delicate and perfectly fried. Scrumptious. 2. The Gluten-Free Pizza. I'm not a gf or celiac, however my wife eats gf and this was the best gf pizza I've ever had. Nearly the whole menu can be prepared gf, so if you are go here!

Wine-Good list. Excellent prices.

Atmosphere-Love it! You felt like you've been transported to the Mediterranean coast.

Overall-Highly recommended.

“Excellent choice for a dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

We visited Carmel during afternoon and stopped by this restaurant for an early family dinner. Maggie our waitress was magnificent so was the owner. Food was really good with a very efficient service. The whole family loved it and recommend it. Atmosphere was very nice. Worth the money we paid. Enjoy it.

Chef Jean knows how to cook. His sauces are perfect. Went there for a special birthday this week and was treated like VIP. Most memorable.

“Very good, small French restaurant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

We recently had dinner with friends and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service.
The rack of lamb was outstanding as was the swordfish (catch of the day). Appetizers were authentically French and also very good. We all thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Le St. Tropez.

“Weak”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

We sat for a very long time waiting for a waiter/waitress. Finally had to ask for someone to bring some water and help us. We were virtually ignored. Ironically there were extra staff just standing around. Finally got some service for our table of 2. Sadly there were only 6 customers in the entire place. In fairness, the wine and cheese was good. Plenty of room for improvement.
