“Wonderful restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

We had dinner at Christopher's for the first time a few years ago. It was so good we booked it for the following night as well.
We just visited Carmel again and went back to Christopher's again and it continues to be great. The oyster bisque was superb as was the Muscovy duck breast. Others had an heirloom tomato salad, salmon with a lentil sauce and the short ribs al of which were said to be very good. Small wine list, mostly regionals.

“Bravo Christopher's on Lincoln”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

Visited this little gem of a restaurant early Monday evening. Our meals were well prepared, ingredients were excellently executed into a superb meal. The salmon picatta was perfect, and my husband had the sea bass. We also tried the beef carpaccio for an appetizer along with the chile-relleno stuffed pepper with risotto.
The 'Groupon' gave us the opportunity to try several different things from the menu, including a cocktail to start and desserts. A nice bottle of a local local white wine made our dinner that much more special. We will definitely come back!
Kudos to the wait staff at Christophers, they were excellent and attentive without being over-bearing.

“Hidden gem for the locals in Carmel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013 via mobile

This little restaurant was really tucked away and "hidden" down on Lincoln. We were more than pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The food was well prepared and very flavorful. My wife had the lamb shank which was terrific. It was literally falling off the bone and extremely tender, not to mention Flintstone huge. The polenta was just as impressive which she ordered with it. I had the duck with risotto. It wasn't the best duck I've ever had, but it did satisfy. Most noticeably was the price. All of the entrees were reasonably priced. Coming from San Francisco, I can appreciate a great meal at a good price.

“Ambience and Great Food - Awesome Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Went to Christopher's on Lincoln with friends to celebrate being friends! Our waiter, Randy, was spectacular and the food was delicious. When you reserve a table, you have the table for the entire evening. I love a restaurant that does not rush the dining experience to get the customer out and ready for the next customer. We used the Groupon and had a lovely experience. We had drinks, appetizers, wine, main course, and dessert. There was no limit to what we could order and they were only out of one of the appetizers. We were allowed 2 bottles of wine with a $45 value for each, if we went over $45 we paid the difference (no problem for us!). We were there for about 2.5 hours, which was just fine with us. If you are in a rush, Christopher's is not the restaurant for you. It is an expensive restaurant if you do all the courses offered on the Groupon, but for special occasions I would have not problem paying more - especially if we have Randy!

Can't wait to go back to celebrate our anniversary in the beginning of October!

“Nothing Special!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

We ate here on a quiet Monday evening in June. The restaurant was not very busy but the service was incredibly slow; it took ages for our drinks to arrive, for our food order to be taken, and for our food to arrive. They had run out of a lot of dishes so we decided to skip starters and just have main meals. I had the chicken breast with corn polenta and my partner had the duck breast. Both dishes were OK. Mine was slightly over-seasoned and by partner's duck was a little under cooked. The portions were quite large. We stayed at the Candle Light Inn and received a 15% discount for showing our room key. We were pleased not to have to pay full price because we didn't think it was worth it.
