Stayed at the Tickle Pink Inn over Memorial Weekend. Our room had an amazing view of the Ocean and Carmel Highlands. The hotel feels like a B&B. Breakfast is included. The Inn offers a wide variety of food for breakfast - hot and cold. I opted for homemade muffins and coffee - delicious! We stayed as a family of 4, but the feel of the place is more about couples getting away for the weekend to relax. There is a hot tub on site, but no pool for kids to play, and frankly no property around the Inn. The decor is more like the Ritz - traditional in style - marble in the bathtub, gorgeous fabric canopy over the bed, SDH Itallian linens. The Inn also offers wine and cheese at 4 PM. I agree with another reviewer: The Tinkle Pink Inn is more personal than the Highlands Inn, however, if you are travelling with children, the Highlands Inn is likely to be a better choice given their is more for children to do there.
