We took rooms 23 and 24 for three nights as part of a two week driving tour. This worked out really well for my wife and I and our three children as we had loads of space in which to unwind.
The Inn doesn't have a dining room as such so we were a little concerned about our late arrival on the first night given that we hadn't eaten. This wasn't a problem as you can access room service from the Hyatt Highlands Inn next door which came really promptly, was well cooked and with a friendly smile. In fact this option was so good we did it for all three nights of our stay.
Like one of the other commentators, we noticed the smoke when we arrived but thought it was the result of forest fires. Actually, it was the effect of the log fires in the rooms - but heck, who'd want to take away this great, romantic feature to your stay.
Yes the inn does sit on the land side of the road, and yes, you can hear it if you sit on the balcony. But we still thought it a great location and we'd suffer road noise for that view.
The breakfasts were good. They may not quite be in the "all you can eat" buffet camp of Las Vegas but for something tasty, filling and fresh you couldn't knock it.
The rooms were well furnished and the beds wonderfully comfortable. Our room had a black spa bath worthy of a playboy mansion. The kids room had both spa bath and shower.
Some others have mentioned the sound proofing and this is a legitimate point. You can hear your neighbours and it would have been very irritating if they had decided to watch their TV to the small hours - but they didn't and we slept like babies.
We've been fortunate enough to travel to lots of places with hotels of varying standards up to the very best; but the ambience of Tickle Pink certainly ranks with the best and we'd go back in an instant.
