Happy Landing Inn Carmel by The Sea

My daughter and I had a lovely Thanksgiving week trip to Carmel, our first trip there. The Happy Landing Inn was a perfect place for us. Lovely breakfasts and beautiful queen room with a view of the fountain and courtyard.....We did the 17 mile drive and had Thanksgiving Day in Monterrey. So easy to go and come from the great location here at the Inn. I really appreciated having parking available too. We loved staying there.

We have been going to the Happy Landing Inn for 27 years and it has always been wonderful. It has what many visitors expect to find in Carmel - historic charm in a beautiful setting. The location is perfect and the breakfasts are just right. The new owners are committed to preserving the uniqueness of the Inn while, at the same time, upgrading the Inn's "infrastructure."
We love the Happy Landing Inn!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Happy Landing Inn. The lady who ran
the inn was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were extremely comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious.

A wonderfully preserved historic inn with a welcoming innkeeper. What a peaceful quiet place, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The daily wine and cheese (4 - 6 pm) is a great opportunity to socialize with the other guests who have been fortunate to find this special place in Carmel. Also included in the price is breakfast delivered to your room! We look forward to our next visit to Happy Landing, and highly recommend booking this enchanting inn for your next visit to Carmel.

“Wonderful, Romantic Stay!”

We just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in charming Carmel! Our stay at the Happy Landing was wonderful. We stayed in room #1 with a firplace. Cozy and romantic. Although this room is not large it is comfortable. This is our 3rd visit to this Inn. It is in a great location and walking distance to everything. Only a few blocks from the beach.
The new innkeeper, Dawn, is fantastic! She added so much to our lovely stay. Her attention to detail is great. She was even thoughtful enough to have a "theater bag" for us with cushions & a blanket for the outdoor movie night at the Forest Theater. She is a lot of fun to talk to about Carmel since she grew up there. Great recommendations to restaurants and activities.
Breakfast of quiche, muffins, and fruit is a nice start to the day.
We can't wait to return!
