Pleasant, comfortable, and perfect location. Wonderfully healthy breakfast to keep almost anyone content. $90 week-end rate dropped to $80 Monday rate (Winter). We had a very pleasant stay. Carlsbad is fun!

This is my second visit. A really nice staff who keeps a very clean "old school" local motel. The best location...very short walking distance to the local shops and beach. I am looking forward to the next visit!

I attended a mini conference for a few days while in Carlsbad and chose to book for its value and accessibility. The Surf has a great location with easy access to the beach and local eateries. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and answered any questions I had without hesitation. The room was spacious, clean and offered simple but necessary amenities (refrigerator, coffee, toiletries). I enjoyed my overall stay and will definitely be back!
