Wonderful resort; extremely relaxing atmosphere; lots to do and choose from, many without additional cost. Great for couples and families. Our downstairs plaza room had a small patio with privacy walls with a Jacuzzi and hammocks in the middle of the cluster of rooms -- very nice!

Very beautiful area. Hotel staff was friendly. However the pool area was not very clean, ie., , The lounge chairs were rather disgusting!. Food Stains, left over food left out and scattered for hours on end. There are numerous extra resort fees charged. The food prices were so inflated. Coffee shop had one cashier for all orders and purchases. Long lines. Same with the SPA, with less lines but did have some check in confusion

Dear TWT2: Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. While I'm glad to hear you liked the friendliness of our staff and the beauty of the resort, I am sorry that you found deficiencies n the pool area, lounge chairs and coffee shop line. We are certainly reviewing these comments with our team and appreciate that you have share your experience. You are correct that we charge one daily resort charge, which includes perks like free wireless internet access, use of the Athletic Club, daily newspaper of your choice and in-room coffee.

HOTEL: Finally had the chance to stay here last summer to celebrate my birthday , and had a wonderful time. Beautiful landscaping, friendly service. We stayed in a first floor Plaza room, and it was great. Beautiful furnishings, amazing beds, huge bathroom w/ one of those fabulous waterfall showers. We had a little back patio overlooking the grassy plaza with huge shady trees, and four big hammocks.

The splash pool area is great for kids of all ages, with a shallow, beach entry pool and even sand play area for the little kids and a little slide, and then a bigger pool and 2 big water slides for the older kids. For activities, of course there's golf, tennis, spa, and the pools. I wasn't so impressed with the "Daily Resort Activities" - almost all of them had an extra charge on top of the daily resort fee. But we ended up playing cards in the plaza courtyard by the Jacuzzi, which was fun.

SPA: I have been here several times w/ the girls for a spa day getaway, and it has been absoutely wonderful. So close, but you feel like you've really escaped for a day of pampering. It's definitely a "special occasion" place for me -- the treatments are pricey; but if you can take some extra time and enjoy the pools, the tea, the service, have some lunch in the spa cafe, maybe a glass of champagne poolside, it's really nice.

The resort is like a small city; it has everything you can want, no need to leave. I would go back in a heart-beat. The blue/fire grill food is very good; but very expensive. The spa grill's food is delicious, not described well, but very tasty. Make sure that you have a smoothie! I think that the hotel should give a listing of all classes that are being held at the spa or fitness center. Also, at check-in it would be nice if the person showed you where everything was; i.e., the spa, the fitness centers.

Dear LoisF: Great to hear that you'd return again in a heart-beat and we hope to welcome you back soon! I appreciate all of your comments, including the shout out for the Spa Cafe smoothie. You're right-- there are a lot of activities and classes here (168 every week!), so we publish an activity catalog and place it in guestrooms. I'm sorry you didn't get to take advantage of that, but we'll have one waiting for your next visit.

This hotel is overpriced and overrated. The food is mediocre and the room maintenance leaves something to be desired. The cost of breakfast in the Bistro 66 is at a minimum $20, seems pretty steep. A bottle of wter at the pool was $15. The final straw was being charged for a cocktails in Diversions Lounge on aday that I wasn't in the lounge.

Went here for a business event. Nice place. Simply, it works. Rooms are nice. Meeting space is ample. Food is darn good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Several nice places to eat on site. Would certainly be sure to check them out if you are headed to the area.
