Overall, not so great. Outdoors access to rooms is fine on a warm sunny day, but not in the cold fog we woke up to on a morning in March . Parking is odd, in cubbyholes under the building. The room was clean but minimally furnished. Mattress was tired and too soft for our preference. Breakfast was sub-par by BW standards, with greasy prepackaged choices. One feature we did enjoy was the outdoor hot tub which was small by most standards but perfect for us since we had it to ourselves. And the $179 price tag for a weekday night in March seemed high when compared to the very similar, bur right on the beach, Del Mar Motel on the Beach (literally) where we stayed the week before for $30 less (see my review). And no great restaurants next door, as as at Del Mar. So there'll be no next time here. Instead will stay at one of the on-the-beach inns or B&Bs in downtown Del Mar.
