If you can, stay at this wonderful, peaceful, paradise on the coast. We had a queen ocean view on level 3 around pool area (room 60). The view, the sound of the ocean and the perfect setting made for the most relaxing and wonderful stay. The complimentary breakfast in the guest room was fantastic - sitting outside on the rocking chairs enjoying the sound of the ocean, the sun, watching the dolphins enjoy the force of the great ocean whilst sipping on nice coffee while enjoying breakfast was the best way to start the day. Beds were the best I had slept on and even our 8 year old son said when his head hit the pillow he just fell asleep. Bathroom facilities were good and roomy with a private loo inside the bathroom. The view was unbelievable and the heated pool was nice, the day beds around the pool deck also a wonderful touch. Check in and Check out was very smooth with friendly staff. We were lucky that on check in (we had traveled from Australia into LAX arriving at 7.05am and then got car and head straight down the coast arriving around 11.00) a room was available so we were able to get into our room straight away. A walk along the beach was so relaxing. A fantastic beach front hotel that if you can pay for a ocean view/front room it is well worth the extra. Our only regret - we didn't stay here longer . . . . . .perhaps we could retire here . . . . . . nice dream.

We stayed here on 1-27-2103. It is a nice location on the beach. we stayed in a beach-front room, and were happy with the views, and cleanliness of the room. This time of year it is cold at night and needed to turn the heat on. To our amazement, the wall unit did not produce any heat. I called the front office, and they stated there was a portable space heater in the closet. We had to huddle around the space heater to stay warm. For 280.00 dollars per night, i would expect a working heating and air conditioning unit. The staff did NOT mention this at the time of booking.

We were very pleased with our accommodations at the Beach Terrace Inn. Our room was right on the beach and we had the best weather. This hotel has great customer service. I especially liked Mike at the front desk. He was so nice on the phone when I made the reservation and when we checked in. The hotel is within walking distance of many places to eat and the train or if you just wanted to take a walk along the beach. The continental breakfast was very good.
I recommend this hotel and would love to stay there again.

This cute, upscale inn is located on the beach, a great location blocks from Carlsbad Village. We enjoyed a romantic getaway in our oceanfront king suite and we loved watching the waves from our room. The sound of the ocean was so soothing, a perfect getaway. The staff and service were great. Our room was amazing, large, great balcony, huge bathroom, large sitting area, perfect to have guests come chat and enjoy the view before heading out for dinner at one of the local restaurants. Everything was in walking distance, great shops, food and drinks, and our room was right on the beach so we could hot tub and walk on the beach at night. We can't wait to come back to the Beach Terrace Inn!
