Not a glamorous hotel, but in its price range, what you get for the money is really very nice. The one bedroom suite is like a small apartment, and easily sleeps a family of 4, 6 if you get the 2 double bed option. It also offers a full size refrigerator, range & oven, microwave, toaster, etc, & dish packs free to use from office. Great for a bugdet family trip to the beach. There is a decent hotel breakfast until 10am daily, with fresh made waffles, all kinds of cereals, pastries, yogurt, fruit, juices included. The same waffles are $6.95 each up the street so figure that into the price & it gets better. We've stayed 6 times, it's always been clean & the desk clerks are very friendly & helpful. Oh, & pool towels are provided, & boogie boards-when available- it's not a policy- they just always have some people leave behind- if you see them in the office in the back right corner, just ask:)

Just 7 minutes drive to legoland. It has a great breakfast range (waffles, muffins etc). Best breakfast offered amongst the 6 places we statyed during our trip travelling down the west coast from SF to San Diego.

For the rate we paid, the room and breakfast were fine and I have no complaints. What I was somewhat surprised and disappointed by was the customer service at the front desk. When my family and I arrived, the booking agency we used to reserve our room had not forwarded our reservation request. We needed to call to request that they do so. What I found surprising was that my partner and I were expected to use our cell phones to make the call to a toll-free number. It wasn't until we had trouble getting through that one of the attendants used the front desk phone to call. Finally, my partner got through to an agent who was able to help. Since when is it policy to have customers provide their own customer service?
