Although this inn can be found under Bed and Breakfasts,, It is more like a boutique inn. Friends of mine stated they didn't like B & B's because they felt like they were staying in someone's home. The breakfast parlor is a wonderful parlor, but you are not in someone's private kitchen area. The owner, Nancy, and her darling assistant Cynthia, go above and beyond in making their home - yours. I appreciated the beach towels, umbrellas, and beach chairs available for our use. It was one less thing to worry about. The rail, into San Diego, is three blocks away and a great way to go into the city ( and for some reason, we never heard it going by while at the inn). The owners clearly take pride in their beautiful home, and after an extremely stressful time in our lives, professionally and personally, we could not have picked a more ideal spot to unwind. We didn't want to leave - but we will definitely be back.
