“Anniversary Celebration.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

We decided to book a few days at the California coast, and chose Carlsbad as it is away from San Diego but close to shopping and great food experiences. We enjoyed the pool and the beach is across the street from the Hilton Carlsbad and they are very family friendly. Great staff and quiet rooms.

My wife and I stayed for four days in April. The room didn't have much of a view but we weren't in it much. It was large, clean and quiet. The restaurant was top notch. The staff were friendly. The hotel is across the street from a lovely long stretch of sandy coastline. It makes for a good stroll. This is a good base to travel by rental car from. Convenient to San Diego and just two hours from L.A.

We love the area and the Hilton is a beautiful place to stay. The room was clean and spacious. The beach is a short walk across the street. What I liked best is that everyone who worked here from the valet, front desk, restaurant staff etc. all were very pleasant. The one thing I don't like is convince of staying in town and being able to walk to our favorite restaurants and shops. I would for sure stay here again!

Rooms were large, clean, and inviting. Amenities were upscale and everything looked to be in new condition. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Pool was large and there were plenty of lounge chairs and cover. Beach was short walk across Carlsbad Ave. restaurant was normal for a Hilton. Nice and quiet getaway yet close enough to see all San Diego attractions.

The property is in a very quiet, secluded area. The rooms were clean and large with nice amenities. The pool area was great with plenty of seating and coverage from the sun. The beach was a short walk across the road. It is close enough to Sand Diego to see the attractions yet not so close as to have to deal with the sprawl. The staff was great and very helpful.

Nice hotel, close to Carlsbad, and across the highway from the beach. Very clean, nice rooms. Unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of the fitness center and game room. The pool was nice tho. They have a great breakfast buffet for $14.99. I was put off by the $12.00 a night parking fee. The parking is just like for any other hotel, yet this hotel charged a fee to park, not ok, in my opinion. Overall, decent hotel, and close to the beach and Carlsbad.

I arrived here last week with my daughter for a trip seeing family in San Diego.
First impressions were that it was a very clean tidy and modern hotel. The staff were absolutely fabulous on arrival from an eleven flight from England.
The bedrooms were spacious and the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in.
I would like to say that Irwin in the restaurant is an absolute credit to the hotel, in the morning at breakfast he greeted us with a warm welcome and is a fabulous host. We won't forget Irwin!
Only downside of the hotel is that it's limited on children's meal choice but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.
