This has a good spin on the two best things in life, but really they are merely a nice chocolate shop combined with some wine. We are from the east coast where there are plenty of good confectioners like this establishment, so it was the name that pulled us in. However the offerings are fairly standard, albeit tasty. One unique candy they had was the Pepperidge Farm Milani cookie and also an Oreo cookie, dipped in different chocolates. We weren't overly impressed with the wine portion, but again, it is a cute schtick with the wine, chocolate and pastry and coffee drinks.

We stopped in for a nice bite of chocolate and a coffee after our meal. Good feel and a wonderful selection.

My wife and I were visiting the area on a Sunday - Monday, and had dinner with our daughter, husband and three grandkids. We all walked after and saw the CHOCOLATE BAR, and said ''Yes.....Desert!'' We all had chocolates of our desire and great coffee. The kids really enjoyed the treats.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. Only thing missing was ice cream, but we were not disappointed.

While vacationing in Carlsbad, hubby and I decided to stop here because it smelled so good when we walked by. It's a cute shop. Pastries, coffee, some tea, lots of chocolate and candy and wine. Hubby spent most of his time checking out the wine. But I don't drink coffee and as pretty and tempting as the chocolates behind the glass looked, I wondered just how fresh they really are. In the end, hubby got some coffee (which he says tasted strong and fresh), I got a cold drink and we decided to pass on the chocolates that have been sitting under glass for who knows how long. Still, it's a cute shop and seems pretty popular.
