The hotel is awesome and the rooms are even better. We stayed in a suite upstairs above the pools and we loved everything about the place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My son loves the golf holes out front to practice some putting before he goes to the beach.

This beach resort was exceptionally awesome. The staff has excellent customer service skills, very delightful, and truly enjoyed being of service for your needs. My extended stay in the luxury 1 bedroom suite #117 is beyond words. Very clean, decorated in style, just lovely. The gounds are beautiful, maintained and feels your senses like being in Hawaii. The pools, exceptional, is perfect temperature with eye appealing paths, lights, flowers, act. I have traveled extensively, stayed in 4-5 star resorts, and this place is #1, #2 GRAND HYATT Regency Maui, Hawaii, #3 DUNN RIVER SANDALS, JAMACIA. Thank you all for making my stay memorable

We absolutely loved our stay at this place. It's grounds are mostly inside the outer buildings and are secluded, beautifully landscaped with mature palm trees, lots of shade and the heated pool was the warmest we've been in. Everything was immaculate, including the Maui Suite, the pool area, the common area's four gas fire pits that run all evening long, even the private putting practice green! Our suite had a beautifully renovated granite counter kitchen with full size stainless appliances and the gorgeous bathroom with glass enclosure shower with 3, yes 3 shower heads, one of them a "rain shower" coming out of the ceiling!

There are plenty of outdoor dining tables with umbrellas and lawn furniture, all in great shape. The fitness center and laundry facilities were great, and there are even Weber gas grills throughout the property for guests use. The beach towels were fresh and luxurious, the staff friendly and very helpful. Todd at the front desk even offered to help us unload our huge minivan full of stuff into our suite--they really were so helpful during our entire stay. This property far surpassed our expectations and being so close to the beach (across the quiet street) we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Carlsbad. Can't wait to return to this beatifully maintained oasis in Carlsbad!

If you are looking for an immaculate home away from home, steps from the beach and a block from food and shopping, look no further. We happened upon Ocean Palms after seeing a special on tripadvisor, and after 5 awesome days, we just extended for another 3. The pool is more like a warm bath, perfect for our off-season stay. The grounds are beautiful and we are enjoying happy hour by the outdoor gas fireplaces each night. Now, for the rooms. We have a spacious two bedroom suite with granite kitchen, dual shower, flat screen tvs, leather couch and super comfy beds and linens. Service has been spectacular and the pride that goes along with a family owned and operated resort is evident among all of the staff. We are a couple with a two year old and two month old and really feel at home. Both girls are even sleeping better since we arrived! Not sure if we will be lucky enough to come back since we live in NJ but highly recommend for couples, families or anyone looking for a perfect vacation spot close to San Diego.
